Out of the Blue's Jellycat Adventures - World Environment Day
Posted on
It's World Environment Day and Bun Bun met up with some his senior Jellycat's to discuss the problems they face in their own countries.
Bun Bun meets up with Jellycat Ollivander the Orca Whale, Oswald Orangutan and Romanda Ostrich.
Bun Bun asks them what Environmental concerns they have.
Oswald is worried about his forests and island habitats.
He tells Bun Bun that he is happy that some items like the DCUK Ducks are responsibly sourced from Bamboo off cuts and therefore helping his remaining forests.
Ollivander tells Bun Bun that he is worried about the oceans and melting ice caps and all the plastic floating around.
However he has found ECO Chic Bottles and Bags made from recycled plastic that has been reused. This will hopefully help stop plastics in his oceans.
Oswald is talking to Romanda about the droughts where the Ostrich is from. Oswald explains that we cant keep burying our heads in the sand concerning droughts and a warming climate.
Bun Bun takes a closer look at the products at Out of the Blue and finds a Wrendale Seed Card and decides that he is going to plant them to improve the wild hedgerows around his outside home here in the UK.
Romanda is inspired by all of their ideas and after chatting to Oswald is no longer going to bury their head in the sand and is going to return home to spread the word.
What are you doing to help your local environment?
